GRV Dance Crew is a respected force in the West Coast dance scene, known for its clean formations, musical precision, and thoughtful choreography. Founded in 2007 in Walnut, California, the group was started by a handful of dancers including David Lim, Jeff Baluyut, Angelie Descalzo, and Valerie Meneses, aiming to create a team that emphasized creativity and community over flash.

The name GRV wasn’t tied to a single meaning — it was intentionally open-ended. Over the years, it came to stand for their evolving identity as a crew rooted in groove, growth, and grounded execution.

GRV rose quickly through the competitive circuit, earning early recognition at World of Dance LA, VIBE, and Fusion. By 2012, they had won WOD LA and placed second at the World Hip Hop Dance Championships, marking their arrival as a national contender. In the years that followed, they maintained a reputation for consistent, high-level performances at major events like VIBE XVIII, Body Rock, and The Bridge.

Over time, they’ve developed a full structure of affiliated teams — including GRaVy Babies (their youth division), G-Train, and Gravity — that mentor dancers at every level.
