Brotherhood Goes Back-to-Back on Home Turf in Vancouver; Takes the International Dance League Season Lead Heading Into Sydney Next Month

Los Angeles, CA (May 27, 2026) - International Dance League, Inc. (IDL), the first global professional dance league, held the Vancouver Series, the second of six stops in the 2026 Season, at the sold-out Thunderbird Sports Centre, Canada. The event drew in more than 3,500 fans, more than double the crowd size of the league’s season opener at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom, and was livestreamed globally on YouTube and Twitch. Since launching earlier this month, IDL has generated more than 150 million views and impressions across platforms. Photo assets from the event can be found here.
The night kicked off with the Community Division where global teams had the opportunity to compete in front of a live audience and win prize money up to $10,000. Studio North took first place, with C-Fam in second, and Nonstop in third.
Then, the six founding professional teams representing major global dance hubs including Brotherhood (Vancouver, Canada), Quick Style (Oslo, Norway), Jam Republic (Singapore), GRV (Los Angeles, USA), Royal Family (Auckland, New Zealand) and 1MILLION (Seoul, South Korea), competed for the Vancouver Series title. Vancouver’s Brotherhood held it’s #1 spot with first place, with Jam Republic in second place, who had the biggest jump following the NY Series moving up three spots on the scoreboard, and 1MILLION in third place. With three series left in the season, it’s still anyone’s game.

Both the Community Division and the Pro Division are scored by a hand-selected panel of industry-leading experts curated for their mastery of technique, artistry, structure, and performance expertise. This standardized judging and championship title is modeled after traditional professional sports leagues.
Before the Vancouver Series, the league held its kickoff press conference where team captains and representatives from all six teams gave fans an inside look into how they are continuing to build throughout the season.
Connor Lim, CEO, Commissioner and Co-Founder of IDL: “We went from 1,828 seats in New York to 3,300 in Vancouver, and sold out both. This is what happens when you build a real season with real stakes. The teams are getting better, the crowds are getting bigger, and we're just getting started."
Brotherhood’s Team Captain, Scott Forsyth: “There's a responsibility we feel with being part of the IDL and building something that's bigger than us. We're super excited to be a part of this league and for this opportunity, but we're also seeing how big this is for dance in general, and for the future generations. We're excited for the audience, and just the community here in Vancouver to show up, not just obviously for us. As you guys know, we're your friendly neighborhood Canadians, we know the crowds can be cheering for all the teams and really bringing the community together.”
Royal Family’s Moana Davis: “We've decided to take more risks for this round. We've got a lot of choreographers to come in and create new pieces for us, and I think that's what we're trying to do. We understand that we have a legacy, but this is a new generation of dancers from different backgrounds and training, so we’re trying to incorporate that into our piece, so fans will see a side of Royal Family that a lot of people haven't seen before.”
Tickets for the next series, June 20 in Sydney, Australia are available now.
