Los Angeles, CA (August 2, 2026) - The International Dance League, Inc. (IDL), the first global professional dance league, brought the Seoul Series, the fourth stop of the 2026 Season, to the Kyung Hee Peace Hall in Seoul, South Korea. Fans from around the globe could also livestream it on YouTube, Twitch, TikTok, and SOOP. Since the season launch in May, IDL has generated more than 800 million views and impressions across platforms. Photo assets from the event can be found here. 

The night began with the Community Division, split into the Junior Division (<18) and the Adult Division (18+) categories, giving emerging teams and talent the opportunity to compete in front of a live audience and earn prize money. In the Junior Division, Philippines-based team VPeepz claimed first place, followed by South Korea’s Fmc__korea in second and Japan’s Chibi Unity Jr in third. In the Adult Division, Seoul’s very own The Stories took the top spot in front of a home crowd, with Philippines' teams UPeepz placing second and BĀWZ completing the podium in third. 

The night then shifted to the pro competition, where IDL’s six founding teams representing major global dance hubs including Brotherhood (Vancouver, Canada), Quick Style (Oslo, Norway), Jam Republic (Singapore), GRV (Los Angeles, USA), Royal Family (Auckland, New Zealand) and hometown 1MILLION (Seoul, South Korea) competed for the Seoul Series trophy. 

Brotherhood continued its winning streak, taking the Seoul Series title, and remains undefeated through this historic 2026 run. While the dominant Vancouver team once again stood atop the podium, Seoul delivered their toughest challenge yet, as hometown team 1MILLION worked hard to earn its best finish of the season so far, coming closer than any other team has to dethroning the league leaders in second place. Royal Family took a third-place finish, the team’s best finish since the first Series in New York earlier in May. 

Brotherhood has officially secured first place in the overall regular season standings with no team in a position to catch them, but the battle for the remaining podium positions are far from settled heading into the LA Series and the season Championship. With one final opportunity to earn points, every performance will carry added weight as teams look to close out the first ever IDL season on dance’s biggest stage. Beyond shaping the Championship bracket, the final standings will determine each team’s share of the league’s prize pool, making every point earned in Los Angeles meaningful both on and off the stage.

Ahead of competition night, the league hosted its Seoul Series press conference featuring CEO and Commissioner of IDL, Connor Lim, as well as team captains and representatives from all six teams. The event highlighted the league’s recent deal with ESPN, what it means to perform in Seoul, and what fans can expect from the rest of the season.

  • Our partnership with ESPN is a really big milestone and a landmark deal for the IDL and for dancers as a whole. As a dancer myself, starting when I was 13, this was something that we have always wanted to see, which is dance on such a large scale network on our terms. And that's an extremely important distinction because obviously dance has been on reality TV shows for a very long time, but not presented as a sport.

  • This is a huge deal because we are controlling all of the creative, all of the sporting aspects and the way that the dancers are represented so we can actually represent teams the way that they want to be represented, in the way that we believe dance should be represented, as a sport on a global scale. So not only is this on national television in the US, but internationally as well. So we're very happy with the deal and are looking forward to how we expand this into 2027 beyond.

  • When I was backstage as a coach, I was giving feedback and creating strategy. But the reason why I decided to put myself on stage in front of the audience is for two reasons. First, I really want IDL to succeed and be beloved all over the world by fans. And if being on stage can bring even a few more fans, more fans to watch IDL and love dance, then I’m very happy to help. The other reason is, of course, I'm very happy as a director backstage, but being on stage and communicating with the audiences, that really brings immense happiness. Being on stage with my teammates, I can feel the energy, and that's just something very special.
