IDL Sets the Stage: Sold-Out Launch and 190M Views Signal New Global Sport

July 30, 2025

The International Dance League (IDL) made its debut this summer with a sold-out launch at the historic Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles, where [NUMBER OF FANS] fans packed the house and millions more tuned in online. In just 30 days, IDL content generated more than 190 million views, proving the world is ready for dance as a sport.

A new era for dance

In 2026, six of the world’s top dance teams will compete as professional franchises with contracts, rosters, and fanbases to grow. These aren't just dance crews — they're organizations built to win championships and define the future of dance as a profession.

Accelerating Our Season Plans

The overwhelming response has allowed us to fast-track our plans and expand our vision for the league. The IDL 2026 season officially kicks off in March 2026 in Hong Kong and will culminate with a championship in Los Angeles in September 2026. Additional host cities will be announced soon.
