1Million Dance Studio & Crew is a powerhouse of modern K‑dance culture—a Seoul‑based academy and creative collective founded in 2014 by choreographer Lia Kim and her partners, including Kim Min‑ja . What began in a modest basement has transformed into a multi‑level studio in Seoul’s Seongsu district, known for producing globally influential choreographies and a YouTube presence boasting over 26 million subscribers.
Lia Kim, a renowned figure in K‑dance, has choreographed for high-profile K‑pop acts such as Twice, BoA, Girls’ Generation, Sunmi, EVERGLOW and ITZY. Her artistic vision and commitment to making dance accessible helped shape 1Million’s identity: precision, emotion, and community . Their YouTube channel, launched in 2015, quickly became a global hub for choreography fans, racking up hundreds of millions of views and turning 1Million into a destination for aspiring dancers worldwide.
But beyond online fame, 1Million has expanded its reach into live performance and mentorship. It operates as a full-service dance label—offering in-house filming, choreography services, workshops, and overseas tours. They even launched an official Spotify playlist featuring tracks curated by their choreographers.
The crew itself has branched into competitive platforms—most notably appearing in Mnet’s Street Woman Fighter 2 (2023), where they placed runner-up under Lia Kim’s leadership. Their electrifying routines—including a viral K‑pop death‑match and original choreography—reaffirmed their performance prowess.
In May 2024, 1Million represented Korean culture internationally in Paris, headlining the “Urban Pulse Uprising” event during the Paris Cultural Olympiad. Sharing the stage with France’s Pokémon Dance Crew at Théâtre du Châtelet, they brought K‑dance to a historic venue and diverse audience
