Royal Family

Royal Family is a New Zealand-based dance crew founded in 2011 by choreographer Parris Goebel in South Auckland. Emerging from The Palace Dance Studio, the group came together from multiple crews and quickly established itself through precision, power, and unified performance.
Royal Family rose to prominence on the competitive circuit with a historic run at the World Hip Hop Dance Championships, winning the Megacrew division three consecutive times from 2011 to 2013. Their movement style and execution set them apart, earning international attention early in their career.
Their reach expanded further through high-profile collaborations and performances. In 2015, Royal Family gained global visibility through Justin Bieber’s Sorry music video, followed by work with artists including Rihanna, Ciara, Jennifer Lopez, Jason Derulo, and leading K-pop acts.
Alongside touring and performance, Royal Family remains active through training and workshops worldwide. Their work across competition, commercial projects, and live performance continues alongside training and touring.
